Find a piece of writing—a poem, quote, sentence, paragraph, song lyrics, kids’ book etc.—written by someone else. Translate it in some way. Perhaps you rewrite it in a different language. Maybe you change the point-of-view. Maybe you rewrite it in a different voice. Take something old and write it in a more contemporary voice.
